Acceptable Use Policy
In effect — v1.0, effective 2026-06-30. This AUP is the contractual hook for terminating abusive accounts. Self-drafted, not reviewed by outside counsel; a counsel review is recommended before high-volume self-serve, but this is the operative policy as of the effective date.
Effective: 2026-06-30 Last updated: 2026-06-30 Operator: PROTUS NW LLC, dba "Kratos7" (the "Company", "we", "us", "our") Service: the Kratos7 cloud-security training platform at https://kratos7.com (the "Service")
This Acceptable Use Policy (the "AUP") defines what you can and cannot do with the Service and our community channels. Violating the AUP is a material breach of the Terms of Service and can result in suspension or termination of your account, with any unused prepaid portion of the current billing period forfeited (per Terms §4).
1. Scope
This AUP applies to:
- Your use of the Service at https://kratos7.com and its subdomains.
- Your use of any community channel we operate (currently: the Kratos7 Discord server).
- Your interactions with any Company resource, including our APIs, content, and staff.
2. The short version
You agree to use the Service for your own training, in good faith, and without harming us, other users, or the integrity of the platform. The rest of this document is just specifics.
3. Prohibited use of the Service
You may not, and may not assist anyone else to:
3.1 Automated abuse
- Create accounts using bots, scripts, automation, or any non-human process. Account creation must be performed by a real person each time.
- Solve labs, drills, workouts, quests, simulators, or capstones with automated assistance — including AI agents acting on your behalf, browser automation, or scripted submission. The Service is a training tool; its value depends on you actually doing the work.
- Use the Service to generate output for any third-party AI training corpus, dataset, model fine-tuning, or evaluation benchmark.
- Operate any crawler, scraper, harvester, or systematic-extraction tool against the Service.
- Bypass, circumvent, or attempt to bypass any rate limit, paywall, access control, captcha, WAF rule, or other technical protection.
3.2 Account abuse
- Share your account credentials with any other person or allow any other person to log in as you. Accounts are per-person and non-transferable.
- Maintain multiple accounts to circumvent free-tier limits, abuse promo codes, or generate fake activity.
- Sell, rent, lease, transfer, or assign your account.
- Impersonate another person — real or fictional — in your profile, submissions, or community-channel presence.
3.3 Content abuse
- Copy, redistribute, resell, sublicense, or publicly post any lab text, drill question, recipe specification, rule logic, written explanation, capstone scenario, or other content of the Service, except for snippets shared in good faith for the purpose of discussing your own learning experience (e.g., "I missed this question about IAM trust policies and learned X").
- Use any content from the Service in a paid course, certification prep program, study group business, or other commercial offering.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any portion of the Service.
- Use the Service or its content to train any machine-learning model.
You may, of course, share your own work — earned proofs, capstone write-ups, certificate links — for personal, résumé, or portfolio purposes. That is the point.
3.4 Safety, security, legal
- Use the Service to facilitate any unlawful activity, including unauthorized access to computer systems other than your own.
- Submit, upload, or transmit any content that is illegal, infringing, defamatory, harassing, or that contains malicious code.
- Probe, scan, test the vulnerability of, or attempt to compromise the Service's infrastructure. Targeted security testing requires our prior written authorization. (Found a vulnerability? Email support@kratos7.com — we appreciate responsible disclosure.)
- Use the Service in any way that is intended to harm us, our customers, or our infrastructure.
4. Prohibited use in community channels
Our community channels — currently the Kratos7 Discord server — are part of the Service. Conduct there is subject to this AUP.
You may not:
- Harass, threaten, bully, dox, or otherwise target any other person, including other users, our staff, our partners, or any non-Kratos7 third party.
- Post hate speech, slurs, or content that demeans a person or group based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or age.
- Spam, advertise unrelated products or services, or post affiliate / referral links without prior approval.
- Post sexually explicit content, gore, or content depicting violence against real people.
- Share answer keys, walk-throughs, or solutions to graded items (quests, capstones, drills under active grading). Sharing your own post-completion write-up of how you approached a problem is fine. Sharing the answer to an open question that another user is currently working on is not.
- Use community channels to coordinate any of the prohibited activities in §3.
5. Community-channel enforcement
Violations in community channels can result in:
- Warning for first-time minor violations.
- Mute or temporary ban from the channel.
- Permanent ban from community channels.
- Termination of your Service account for severe violations or repeated violations after warning.
Violations of §4 may result in Service-account termination even if no Service-side violation has occurred. The community channels are part of the Service experience and our standards apply across both surfaces.
6. Enforcement
We enforce this AUP at our discretion. Our process is typically:
- Detection. A violation is reported by you, by another user, by staff, or surfaced by automated abuse detection (rate-limit spikes, signup patterns, telemetry anomalies).
- Investigation. We review logs, submissions, and any other evidence relevant to the report.
- Action. Depending on severity: warning, temporary suspension, permanent termination. We typically give first-offense warnings for minor violations (e.g., one-off impolite Discord message) and skip directly to termination for §3.1 (automated abuse), §3.2 (account sharing or multi-account abuse), §3.4 (illegal activity), and severe §4 violations (harassment, hate speech, doxing).
- Notice. We notify you by email at the address on file. We are not obligated to share the full evidence underlying our decision, particularly where doing so would compromise other users' privacy or invite circumvention.
6.1 Appeals
If you believe an enforcement action was made in error, you may appeal by emailing support@kratos7.com within 30 days of the action. We will review the appeal and respond within 30 days.
6.2 Refund consequences
Per the Terms of Service §4, termination for an AUP violation forfeits any unused prepaid portion of the current billing period (a refund already earned within the 14-day window is not forfeited). Termination without cause results in a pro-rated refund.
7. Security research
We welcome responsible security research. If you discover a vulnerability:
- Do not exploit it beyond what is necessary to confirm the issue.
- Do not access data belonging to other users.
- Do not disclose publicly until we have had a reasonable opportunity to fix.
- Email support@kratos7.com with details. We will acknowledge within 5 business days.
Good-faith security research conducted within these guidelines is exempt from §3.4. We will not pursue legal action against researchers who follow this process.
8. Reporting violations
If you observe a violation of this AUP:
- In community channels: report via the Discord moderator-mention or direct-message a staff member.
- In the Service: use the in-product support form, or email support@kratos7.com.
- Privacy or safety urgent: email support@kratos7.com.
We do not retaliate against good-faith reports.
9. Changes to this AUP
We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes — including new categories of prohibited use — take effect 14 days after we notify you via your account email and a banner in the Service. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
Non-material changes (typos, link fixes, formatting) take effect immediately.
Each version is identified by a version field and an effective_date. Prior versions are preserved in our repository commit history.
